Part 11: Destiny's Crossroad --
Sam kisses his wife before he climbs atop his horse. He touches the horse's fur, the horse begins to glow as Sam creates an aura of battle armor for his horse. The armor is embedded with the power of wind and fire. Sam says, "Now your name really fits you Blazer!" He rides off towards the North. Six days passed by as he arrived on the outskirts of Nalloia. Sam dismounts his horse, Blazer transforms into Sam's battle armor. Sam stares at his legs, waist and arms as he says, "Lila, why did my horse transform into my own armor?" A small one-foot tall fairy-nymph appears from thin air, "Your horse loves you. You take great care of your horse, and you have granted it magical powers. It is willing to protect you and stay by your side throughout the coming battles." Sam replies, "Lila, how do you understand what the horse is feeling?" She responds, "I am a woodland fairy-nymph. Talking to animals and plants as well as understanding nature is something my kind does naturally." He says, "Thank you Lila." Sam follows the road leading towards the nearest village on the outskirts.
Wallace asked a merchant, "This is a beautiful necklace. It would look magnificent on Marianne. I will take it. How much?" The merchant replies, "It is sixty rupels. But for you king, I will make it thirty rupels." Wallace purchased the jewelry. He walks towards the small restaurant, sits down and orders a meal. One hour later, he rides his horse towards the direction of Nalloia's castle. Wallace sees an image of someone, "I can't tell if they are someone I know or if it's just a coincidence. I swear that person looks like Sam, he is walking down the other road from another village. Is he working for Brett? It would make sense for a serial killer like Sam to align with an evil king like Brett!" Wallace whips his horse, riding as fast as possible toward Sam's position. Lila whispers, "Sam, Wallace is charging towards your direction." Sam stops in place, "Arkana told me that Wallace still believes I am responsible for the deaths of the king and Princess. Maybe he is a rational person who I can talk to in order to clear my family and self from the false charges." Wallace swings his sword while charging past Sam. Sam dodged, he grabbed Wallace by the cloth adorned on his cuirass, dragging him off the horse. Wallace falls towards the ground, quickly combat rolls away from Sam, stands on his feet while holding his sword in high ready. Sam pulls out his sword in retaliation as Wallace swings at him, "Sam, you are wanted in connection with the death of King Robert, Princess Amelia, King Henry, Prince Costas, and the many other guards that have tried hunting you down. I am here to avenge those who you have murdered in cold blood." Sam blocked Wallace's sword with his own, "Wallace, I didn't kill anyone! I didn't kill the kings, Princess and the Prince! I was set-up, framed by someone who is the real murderer!" Wallace swings again as he says, "How the hell can you compete with my strength! I was granted godly strength, but you can go blow for blow against me!" Sam replies, "Arkana has already informed me of Valcia granting you gifts, as well as Malthus granting Brett powers." Wallace responds, "So you are working for Brett and Malthus! I knew that you are a traitor!" They fight for hours. Blades clashing, clanging, clinging as sparks fly in different directions. Hours continue to pass as they fight evenly.
A five feet, six inches tall young lady uses her powers to hold Brett Travosita on the ground as a shadow forms in his place, Brett's shadow absorbs his physical body, he slithers across the floor. His arms reach out from the shadow, pulling the young lady to the ground. Her gravity powers begin to wane as Bett reforms into his original body. He picked her up from her throat, pulling the gravitational powers from her body. Brett snaps her neck, tossing her to the ground like a sack of potatoes. Her lifeless body resting next to his guards' feet. A royal scribe approaches Brett, "Sir we have two men with unbelievable strength causing massive damages to the Southeast road. The statue of yourself and the landscape have been eradicated into a giant crater. If those two don't stop, we will lose the village nearby!" Brett smiles, "Just like Malthus told me. Those fools finally arrived and have no clue what Malthus prepared for. Malthus is such a brilliant god. He knew who Valcia and Arkana were going to pick as their warriors. These fools should take their vengeance elsewhere!" Brett transforms into a black mist, flying out of the castle, into the air heading towards the direction of their position. Wallace and Sam continue their battle as the sky is covered in a blanket of dark clouds, rain begins to fall as a voice yells, "You two are going to destroy my reputation as this kingdom's greatest ruler!" Brett reforms into his original body, the clouds dissipate revealing the light blue sky above. Brett raises both his hands, with his palms facing towards Sam and Wallace, they are pinned down to the ground. Wallace squints, "Sam, you are not working with Brett? I am confused. Why are you even here then?" Sam replies, "Now is not the time for deducing the obvious. It seems like we both failed our mission. Because of your hotheaded behavior, I wasn't able to prevent Brett from stealing her powers. Now I have to find another way to kill this asshole because of your attitude." Wallace tries to push himself up from the ground. Brett says, "Nope, not going to work. I'll just increase…. There." The gravitational force doubles in strength making Wallace's body collapse on the ground. "See you are no match for me. I want both of you to leave my land. You are not worth killing. I can't even steal Wallace's abilities and I already possess Sam's powers. What can you two do to me? Nothing!" He stops the gravitational force powers, letting them stand back up. Sam charges forward, "Brett, I don't think that you have any idea who I am!" Sam points his right index and middle finger at the ground beneath Brett, then turns his wrist facing the palm toward the sky. He bends his elbow swiftly lifting the ground beneath Brett's feet, launching Brett Travosita through the air and into the castle walls. Wallace stands in awe while thinking inside of his mind, "Well go fuck yourself Sam! Show off. He no doubt killed them. I can see him using these abilities to assassinate anyone and get away undetected. This is all the proof I needed. I can't believe how powerful they both are! I need to contact Sarlia." Wallace hops onto his horse and rides off into the distance, heading towards the direction of Morbay. Brett sits down on his throne and says out loud, "Well, damn, that was unexpected! Oh well, looks like I now know that we are equal in powers right now. I need to contact Chasono." A black mist forms by the side of Brett's throne, "Malthus wants a word with you. He heard your message and witnessed the battle." The figure touches Brett's shoulder, they evanescently fade from the mortal realm.
