Part 15: Lila's Realm --
Arkana and Sam enter his pocket dimension, when Lila and the other fairy-nymphs fly around them as Lila speaks up breaking the silence, "Welcome master Arkana and Sam. This is our realm, the realm of Mana. The magical essence gives this place a very paradise vibe, don't you think?" Sam dismounts Blazer. Arkana places his hand on the horse, transforming Blazer into a hybrid of a unicorn with pegasus wings. Sam mounts the horse, "Alright, as discussed before we entered, I will explore the environment and challenge the giant hydras and dragons. Do I have to kill them? Or can I just knock them out?" Lila replies, "Sam you should do either, these monsters are very powerful and the mana they possess grants them healing abilities and elemental powers. There are other magical animals in this realm too! So, you must be careful. Nature has spriggans that protect the wildlife but if alone they will ignore the hydras and dragons due to extreme fear of the monsters, but will defend them if forced too! If you require healing visit the nearest springs where the elemental fairy-nymphs live, just ask Blazer where the nearest springs are, he can smell them from miles away." Lila continues, "Wait, I am going to join you, I am supposed to be by your side at all times as the vessel between you and Arkana. I can't fly as fast as Blazer can, so I will have to transform into my larger form." Sam watches with intrigue as she grows from being a foot tall into a five feet seven inches tall young lady with transparent butterfly shaped wings. Lila flies over the back of Blazer's saddle, she sits down behind Sam, her arms wrap around his waist as they fly into the distance.
Near a pond, a dragon is harassing spriggans trying to protect a few wild unicorns and pegasus from the dragon's breath of fire. Lila commands, "There! Over towards the pond, I see a dragon picking a fight with the other creatures near the pond. They must be fighting over the water." Blazer flies to the ground, Sam dismounts his horse, then says, "Lila, stay here and watch Blazer as I take care of my first mission." She yells, "No! I will go with, it is my job to work alongside you. Granted, I have not shown you why I am the royal guard of Arkana. I am far more powerful than any being in the mortal realm. I am the strongest of my realm." Sam ties Blazer to a tree. Sam and Lila walk off towards the pond. A dragon blows fire at the woodland creatures as spriggans fall one after another, their magical wards projecting in front of the dragon's fire as it disperses in different directions. Lila charges forward, running while using her wings to blow the air behind her, forcing herself to accelerate faster. She flies off the ground ramming the dragon in the head as Sam uses his wind and fire power to fling himself into the pond water, "She is amazing. I shouldn't have thought of her as a mere messenger but as a warrior in her own right." Lila uses her magical powers to create a magical ward barrier protecting the woodland creatures. Sam pulls out his sword and starts swinging at the dragon with both hands gripping tight on the hilt. He swings and hits the dragon on the neck, with his thoughts he manipulates the ground to pull the dragon's feet deep in the mud, then with the power of fire he heats up the mud, the dragon is sessile. Sam chops off the dragon's head, blood sprays over the magical barrier, flowing down onto the sand surrounding the beach. Lila releases her ward, "Well that was too easy for you. Maybe you don't require any training in this realm. You seem to use your intelligence with swiftness. Arkana appears next to them, "It seems so Lila, he seems to be highly intelligent and quick on his feet. No more training is necessary, only if he defeats a hydra in the ocean waters."
Lila and Sam mount Blazer, they fly off towards the open ocean, landing on an island far from the mainland beach. Lila breaks the silence, "We will attract a hydra if you throw the dragon's head into the ocean waters. This island is where their nests are located too, so there has to be a few residing around these parts." Sam threw the dragon's head into the water, the blood stains the surface of the water. A monster with a long neck sticks out of the water, Sam points his fingers at the ground behind him, the ground bursts into a giant slab from beneath the dragon's body launching the dragon's body into the water in front of them, splashing water all over Lila and Sam, "Sam! What the hell! You are going to attract too many of them!" He grins, "I can handle this as he sticks both of his hands in the water and begins to separate the water, it parts in two revealing the ocean floor and six hydras feeding on the dragon's corpse. Sam spreads his arms apart, palms facing in different directions in the shape of a "t" as he walks forward, pushing the water further away revealing more of the ocean floor, the gust of wind begins to heat up as he inhales then he exhales a massive fireball from his mouth. The fireball strikes one of the hydras, burning it to a crisp. Sam drops his arms and places his hands on the ocean floor, the ground begins to shake with a magnitude five strength other planets quake, he then heats up the ground enough to cause the magma to explode as volcanic eruptions beneath the hydras. Sam launches himself up from above the ocean, tidal waves crashing into one another as he hovers far above, then he splashes into the warm water below. After the water settles down, he swims back to shore. Lila stands with squinted eyes as Arkana cannot stop laughing. Sam says, "There, now have I passed the test. I have spent the last five years training in order to use more of the mana granted to me. I also think I have the ability to maximize my mana output inside of this realm. So I passed?" Arkana smiles, "You did indeed, I am glad you are no slacker. You should also be aware that in this realm you actually absorbed even more mana than I have stored in you. Now you should be able to defeat Brett and Wallace. Those two brothers of mine will probably be training their champions in their pocket dimensions as well, so be sharp, for your next encounter will probably be your final match between them." Sam is teleported out of the dimension and back inside of his castle throne room.
