Part 16: Hell's Enforcers --
Brett enters the dimension, "I have now entered hell? This is more terrifying than I was hoping for. I can hear the screams of people being tortured causing a chill running down my spine, and the smell of blood as if they are still living. Malthus isn't going to help me anymore, he wants me to go about this with Chasono, but he is located at the far East section of this chamber. So, the test is for me to survive through the stages of hell and to defeat the strongest monster, the undead dragon. The dragon has spikes across its chin, neck, top of the head and spikes running down its spine to its tail but not on the tail itself. I guess I can easily remember that. There are hundreds of them located at the farthest Eastren part of hell." Brett transforms into a black mist and flies through the air, traveling past the demons dragging the damned to prison cells filled with poisonous snakes and spiders. The screams echo as he flies past the cells. He runs into two cyclops standing next to a huge passageway, a huge club strikes him to the ground, his body bounces off the ground hitting the ceiling then falling onto his back, leaving a crater in the floor below the chamber. Brett coughs up blood as he rolls onto his hands and knees. He slowly stands up, "For fuck sakes, they could tell that the mist was me? These gate guards are way too intelligent." He pulls out his sword and charges at the cyclops standing to the left while blasting the other on the right side with a fireball from his palm facing it. The cyclop swings his club, but misses as Brett dodges, spinning around the club into the inside of the cyclops, he stabs it in the gut but doesn't leave a mark. Brett slides under his legs, then freezes the cyclops legs to the ground. The cyclops moves forward breaking the ice around its legs as the other cyclops grabs Brett by the arm, Brett quickly turns into a shadow on the wall then slithers to safety. He reforms back into his original form and charges once again at the cyclops on the left side, blasting fireballs from his palm towards the cyclops on the right as his sword clings and clangs while it connects with the cyclops club. Brett uses his other hand to create a gravitational pull to launch the cyclops on the right into the other cyclops, they ram into each other knocking them both unconscious. He walks through the passageway leading towards the next stage of hell. He is smiling as he holds onto his left arm, blood drips down his left arm pooling on the ground as he walks blood trails behind him, "So that was the first guardians of hell. I might be in over my head. I think I need to not be too overconfident or I am going to die in hell."
Brett, exhausted from his previous fight yells, "Chasono!" Chasono appears in front of him, "You look like you tried to out smart, and out arm the gate guardians. You should know that only one mortal soul has ever escaped this realm. You are the first mortal to have to fight through the chambers to get to my personal office in hell. I will heal you, but don't make this a habit or I won't be able to do my job. I will heal you two more times, after that it is all on you, don't waste them. I should also inform you that this realm is filled with dark energy. The dark energy will flow inside of you while you survive through this realm's enforcers. The longer you, a flesh being, can survive the onslaught of Malthus's forces the more energy you will absorb. So, that's why I cannot keep assisting you, you have to do this on your own." Brett watches as Chasono vanishes in front of his eyes. He continues to push through, as he can hear a loud announcement resonate through the chambers, Chasono commands, "All enforcers be on the lookout for an infiltrator! The infiltrator is not supposed to be inside of this realm! If you spot the mortal, kill him on sight!" Brett freaks out, his heart pounds in his chest as the demons begin to gaze at him, "Well, I am pretty pissed off now!" He pulls out both of his swords, one in each hand as he spin-swings, chopping the heads off of two of the demons. Brett ran, rolls on the ground slicing the legs of a demon as he combat rolls to his left, then stands up, swings his sword into the skull of two demons. Brett wheezes as he low crawls into a small crevice in the walls. He pauses as the demons lose sight of him, "I am in deep shit. I made it through the entrance to hell, and now Chasono put me into a situation that makes me feel like I truly am in hell. Chasono must have known that I would ask for help, I didn't know he could heal me, but apparently it is because Malthus must have granted him some of Valcia's abilities. So, Wallace will be able to heal from battle? If Malthus represents the opposite of Valcia, I wonder if dark energy counters it?" Brett puts his swords in their sheaths. He uses his dark energy to manifest a bow and arrow as he pulls the string of dark energy until his arm is stretched out, he lets the arrow free from the bow killing a demon. Brett launches more arrows from his crawl space, one after another the enforcers fall to the ground. A few minutes passed by, he crawls out of the crevice and stands up, "I finally cleared the first chamber. I guess I should challenge the next gate guardians. A massive three headed wolf charges towards Brett, he his pinned to the ground as the left head tries to bite him he shoves a sword into its mouth. The wolf bites down, the sword penetrates the top palate. Brett stabs the foot then rolls towards a safe position away from the three headed wolf. He stands up, charges the bow and launches three energy arrows at the Cerberus, the arrows strike the neck of the beast, the beast falls to the ground. Brett sits down next to the corpse. He watches the creature dissipate into nothingness, "I just realized that the demons also have disappeared, I don't know why they all disappeared?" Brett walks through the hallway leading to his next trial.
